What's the difference between MP2672 & MP2672A

Hi, MPS team

I’m looking for 2-cell battery charger and came across MP2672 & MP2672A. I’m not sure what’s the difference between them as I compared their introduction pages & key parameters. Are they any different? Why 2 part no. if there’s no differences?

Well I used to work in the semiconductor business, and what I noticed is, nobody is going to tell you “this part functions poorly” what tends to be done instead is they release a A version with the undisclosed problems of the non-A version fixed. This is especially more likely if you can discern no difference like improve specs, high frequency blah blah blah.

All things equal chose the A version.

Hi sxaw,

What jshannon mentioned is a good summary, but I will mention both devices are supported fully by MPS and are mostly interchangeable. You can source either device but my suggestion is to use the A version since this is the latest and most updated version of the device.
