I am designing a 12V input 5V output and 10A. Switching frequency 500kHz.
The datasheet shows a typical application with R1= 84.5 and R2 = 10k, and with the MPS design tool the value of R1 with the same other values is different (R1 = 80.6k).
Where can I see the calculations to get that values? I tried to get my own calculations and I get R1 around 70k with same R4=470k, R9=100 and C4=220pF values, estimating Vramp with the parameters the datasheet specifies. I don’t know what is the best way to calculate VOUT. -
In the datasheet typical application of 5V output and switching frequency 300kHz (Figure-49), R1 is the same as 3,3V Vout (Figure-47). I supose is a mistake, is that correct?
Hello,
Apologies for the delayed response.
- Please refer to page 29-30 of the datasheet for setting output voltage. There is flexibility when sizing components. The values in the typical application circuit were tested to provide the results in the graphs.
- Looks like Figure 47 (48.7k) and Figure 49 (82.5k) don’t have same R1 value.
Best Regards,
Yu
