What is the meaning of Input voltage regulation for MP2733

Hello,
I’m right now develop a solar project based on MP2733. And I saw there is a registor(01H) says it can be used to set the input voltage regulation.
So my question is what’s the meaning for this parameter? Like if my input voltage is consistant 12V. And I set the input voltage regulation to 9V. Then what will happen?

Hello,
This register is for minimum input threshold, meaning, if you configure 9V as the input voltage regulation limit, your charger will not supply until you are above this.

You will be fine operating at 12V. However if <9Vin, you will run into input undervoltage fault.
