Voltage output limted on MP4541/4581

The max operation duty cycle of MP4541/4581 is 90%. Is there a special reason to have the output voltage limited to only 30V? I should need 40V output from 60V input. Thanks

Hello Project,

It is most likely due to thermal concerns. If the output power is too high it may damage the chip.

You may want to try a higher rated device such as the: MPQ2420 .
Or use a controller like the MP2908A.
