Hi,
I am trying 2 use 2xMP24833 with 2 different LED strings each with 10 white LEDs.
Both are on the same board and share the same power supply. I am using DC dimming with 100% power at 1.6V.
When I populate one IC on the board, every thing works fine but as soon as the other IC is populated on the board, one of the IC fails always.
I am attaching the schematic below. I am using a buck boost configuration as per the development board.
Please help me out in this.
If each IC works fine alone but once another is connected that one does not maybe checking the power supply settings. I would check if the current limit is preventing this.
Hello,
Yes, initially,I power the board with limited current and then slowly increase it to full. Either one smokes out and fails. I have tried with 5 different ic’s and all are failed now. Waiting for new IC’s to arrive.
This time I am ordering MPQ24833.
Is there any method to start the IC in some fail proof method?
Thanks for your response…
