Startup time, the time taken to get a stable Vout since VIN is applied, in MP100L depends on two parameters:
i. Input voltage, the higher the input voltage, the shorter is the startup time.
ii. The VD capacitor value is determined by the maximum output current. The smaller the output current, the smaller the VD capacitor is, and we would get a shorter start-up time.
For 12V/20mA, a VD capacitor of 220uF is used, and the startup time at 230VAC is about 120ms.
