Source of flyback transformers in MPX2002/2003 application notes and evaluation boards

Hi,

Could someone please provide me with sufficient information to order the transformer cores specified in the MPS2002/2003 application notes and evaluation board datasheets, or something similar?

The BOMs list the transformers as

  • ATQ2718 ARK FX0650
  • ATQ2718 ARK FX0650
  • FX0575 RM10
  • FX0606 RM10 ZYD
  • ATQ23 ZYD FX0633-1

Searching the net for these devices is pointless. Often there are no results or the application note is the only result.

RM10 is a core size. Maybe ATQ23, ATQ24 and ATQ2718. I gather ZYD and ARK are Chinese manufacturers.

This problem isn’t specific to MPS flyback converters. Switching supplies of all types from all manufacturers suffer from the same problem. Magnetic components are inadequately specified and impossible to find.

Thanks.

Hello,

Most of our transformers are custom wound, so it is recommended to take the specs listed on the BOM and SCH and request a custom transformer to be made with those specs.

As an example, looking at the EVX2002-44018A-00A, T1 and T2 state the package on the BOM, this package was mostly likely used in order to achieve the large inductance. The Inductance and winding ratio we use are listed on the SCH, this information should be enough for a magnetics company to make a custom transformer for you.

Regards,
Jonathan

Thanks Jonathan.

So, ATQ2718 is a core package from ARK?

Regards, Dave.

Hi… Can you please provide some contact details of ATQ2718 core manufacturers?
