Is it OK to place four of these power module outputs in series?
This will give a 48V in 48V out isolated supply.

While this is not within the typical application of the MPC12106-54-0750-0220, having four 12Vout modules in series could work so long as you ensure the following:

  • Keep the outputs truly isolated where there are no shared grounds.
  • Currents should be balanced across shared modules to avoid overloading on any one module.
  • Make sure the interwinding isolation is able to handle the voltage difference and that they are balanced within their means.
