Query about MP26121 charge current

Hello, I am looking into using the MP26121DQ-LF battery charger and have a question about the charge current.

On page 7 of the datasheet, on table 1, there is a list of R(CHRG) resistors and their matching I(CHG) currents. This goes between 1A to 100mA. However, on page 8, the recommended resistor values are from 2.3kR to 11kR, which corresponds to 700mA to 200mA.

What is the reason for limiting this recommended range? Is this possible to use this part with a 100mA charge current?

Thank you for posting to the MPS forums. The part can function at 100mA, but the Datasheet recommends Rchrg values within the 2.3kR to 11kR range for optimal performance.
