Power consumption on MPSmart

Could you pls confirm if could calculate POL power consumption on MPSmart tool? Thanks.

What is the POL that you are using specifically here? Depending on the efficiency that you get on your MPSmart simulations, you can estimate the losses that you would get by looking at in the datasheet loss curve.

Consider Vin, Vout, and Iout to start. Switching losses would be the biggest variable of loss here. Conduction losses and losses with the inductor would be the next loss types to calculate to cross reference if there is no loss curve alongside the efficiency curve. This of course would depend on how new the POL you are using as some of the older datasheets don’t have this.

I use MPQ8633B. I don’t see any efficiency on MPSmart or where is efficiency iron I miss? Thanks.

I suppose this could be done implicitly with either the voltage, current, or power probes at the inputs and outputs. After manually graphing this data, I would recommend comparing to the following curves from the datasheet:
