Hello all,
I’d like to ask if it would be possible to use the MPX2001 in a low-voltage DC (24V) input applications?
If not possible, do you have some other suggestions for implementing ca. 15W isolated flyback converter? Non-synchronous operation is OK, but primary side regulated topology would be preferred.
Thanks in advance.
Hello @arttu.rasanen ,
Apologies for the very late response here.
The MPX2001 is a just a controller, so it technical can work for DC input considering that the AC input voltage has already been rectified before reaching the controller. Nevertheless, it may be too overpower if you need it for a 15W application.
You may consider the MP6005 which is a Flyback/Forward Controller with Primary and Secondary Side Regulation. Synchronous operation and wide 8V-80V input voltage range.

Edgar
