MPS3362 LEDs in parallel

Hello,

i have a question regarding the MP3362. I have to do design a backlight system with 9 LEDs.
The LEDs i have to use are the JK2835BWT-W-U35EB0000-N0000001 from CREE Leds which has a forward voltage of round about 6V and a forward current of 150mA. Is it possible to connect 3 x 3 LEDs in parallel?

Hello Michael,

Though the LED configuration may fit the specs, the device is recommended for single string usage. Using it in your configuration may/will lead to improper drive of the LEDs. This can be seen through current imbalances in each branch. Please check out our multichannel LED drivers.

A device similar to the MP3394S | 5V-28Vin, 4-Channel, 200mA/ch Boost WLED Controller could be appropriate for you.
