Hello,
I am using the MPS2918GL as a buck converter with an input voltage range of 5.5V to 17V. According to the datasheet, the internal regulator operates when VIN is 6V or higher, while the regulator output voltage is specified as 4.5V to 5.5V.
It appears that, even assuming a 0.5V dropout at a 50mA regulator load, generating a 5V output from a 5.5V VIN should still be possible.
Could you please confirm whether the converter is expected to operate correctly in the VIN range between 5.5V and 6V? I do not have another voltage source available to supply VCC2.
