I have utilized the MPQ6610 reference design to control a solenoid, managing inrush and holding current in accordance with adjusted parameters. I adapted the design using locally sourced components and procured the PCB. When I configure one segment of the power supply to 24V and apply it to VIN, and then connect the second segment of the bench power supply to the IN pin of the IC, setting it to 3.3V or 5V, the IC draws an unexpectedly high current exceeding 1A through the IN pin on the second segment. I am uncertain about the cause of this anomaly. Please refer to the attached pictures for further clarification.
Please find the schematic attached, as I was unable to upload files directly due to the restrictions on new user accounts.
Hello @yasir.shahzad
Can you tell me how much current is drawn through the IC pin? 1 A seems pretty high for a logic pin.
