MPQ6610-AEC1 flyback diode

Hello,

does MPQ6610-AEC1 needs a flyback diode for protection or it’s built inside the chip ?
We are using it to drive some solenoids at 1,3 A / 24V DC in an automotive product and want to know if we need to use an external flyback diode and if so what would you recommend.

Hi @camsa,

The MPQ6610-ACE1 has OCP, UVLO, open-load detection and thermal shutdown for its protection and safe operation. It should work for the 1,3A/24V dc application.

Hello Saurabh,

the MPQ6610-AEC1 is tested and working fine for 24V up to 2 amps.
Another question - can you recommend a similar product but with 6 amps or higher ?
