MPQ4312-AEC1: SYNCO functionality

Hi,
I use in my design two MPQ4312-AEC1 with common power input and two diffefrent power outputs. 0 and 180 synchronisation used, one of MPQ4312 is clock source, second is clock sink . What if “master” MPQ4312 will be in overcurrent hiccup mode? Does SYNCO will be active? What can turn off SYNCO? Only ENABLE signal? I can suppose (Figure1, MPQ4312 datasheet) that with ENABLE is not active there are no internal VREF voltage, and entire chip will be in sleep state, SYNCO is not generated.

Best Regards,
Victor

Hello Victor,

When the MPQ4312-AEC1 enter hiccup mode there could still be residual clock signals at the output of SYNCO. However, these signals are not guarantee the meet the specifications of a true clock signal, as the IC is constantly turning on and off until it exits hiccup mode.

Correct, by setting EN pin to Low you can turn off the SYNCO pin.

Best,
Edgar
