Thank you for your continued support.
Regarding the MPQ4242GVE-0000-AEC1-Z that we have purchased from your company, we are contacting you to make a technical inquiry about the specifications of the ONE TIME PROGRAM (OTP) function.
Currently, we have confirmed the following description in the datasheet:
Bits Name: D[7] OTP_PROGRAM
Default: 0x0
Description:
Configures the I2C register value into the OTP memory cell.
A password is required before using the OTP.
The OTP can be configured once. Only the MPQ4242-0000 and
OTP_PAGE = 0 can be used to configure the OTP.
Write 1 to this bit to implement OTP configurations.
After configuring is complete, this bit automatically resets to 0.
Apply a 12V VIN while configuring the OTP.
In the above description, it states:
“A password is required before using the OTP”
However, we could not find any information regarding:
- The specific content of the password
- The method of setting it (registers, sequences, etc.)
Therefore, we would like to ask for your guidance on the following points:
- Specifications and setup method of the password required when writing to the OTP
- Procedure for fixing initial values (I2C register values) using the OTP
- Precautions during implementation (voltage conditions, methods to verify write, etc.) …
In order to consider settings with mass production in mind, I would like to understand a reliable method to fix the initial values. If you have any manufacturer documents or application notes, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide them. I apologize for bothering you during your busy schedule, but I sincerely ask for your confirmation.
