MPQ4242 without I2c

Hello,

I liked MPQ4242 device since it is an all-in-one solution but I want to verify couple of things:

1- can it be used without I2C? like use the application of ref board to do all these protocols (when requested by target device) automatically?

2- what other ICs are similar to this one? either all-in-one or separate ICs.

I do not believe i2c is required to use this as it comes with a default setup.
