Hi,
I plan to use the MPM82504 as the core power for an FPGA (1V, 1.2V, 1.8V and 3.3V) and have questions about the PMBus configuration.
Does activating an internal feedback resistor mean that I don’t need to connect the VOSNSx pins ?
What are the recommanded RAMP and CFF values in this case ?
Can I connect the CTRLx and VINx (12V) pins togethers if I want all the regulators to always be on ?
Thank you for your time
Hi Florent,
Welcome to the MPS Technical Forum. Thank you for your patience.
The VOSNSx pins would still have to be connected.
For the RAMP and CFF values please refer to Table 5 on page 24 of the datasheet, which gives the recommended values at different output voltages and switching frequencies.
The CTRLx pin cannot be directly connected to the VINx pin at 12V, you would have to use a resistor divider to get it below 3.3V and above 2.2V which is the CTRL on threshold.
