MPM6010 set output current to 20mA

Hello Team,

I’m using MPM6010, the goal is to set output current to be 20mA, Is this achievable ?

if yes, then RT and RFB should be what value to get good stability ?

I would appreicate very much for a fast reply, thanks a lot!

Hi ,
Thank you for utilizing MPS Technical Forum,

The 20mA output current is quite low and we cannot guarantee a stable system output.

I calculated an RFB of 10ohms, you may also confirm using the equation given in the datasheet, but I do not think a corresponding RT resistor can match such low resistance for a proper loop bandwidth setting.

Hello Nouman

Thanks very much for the fast support!
Coould you please suggest another regulator that could do this work, if there is any ?

thanks again.

I can definitely look into another option or alternative device -

can you provide your system spec requirments? Vin, Vout, Iout? frequency requirements?

Based on simply the 20mA spec - here are couple options:

  1. MP9472 | 0.45A, 18V, Non-Synchronous, Rectified, Step-Down Converter | MPS (monolithicpower.com)
  2. MP9472 | 0.45A, 18V, Non-Synchronous, Rectified, Step-Down Converter | MPS (monolithicpower.com)

Kind Regards,
