MPM4730 current limit

Regarding current limit setting R and C calculations which are not defined in the MPM4730 data sheet.
I understand from previous answer I got that these are calculates as follows

R = 75.24/I_lim(A)
C ~= 473/R(kohms)

Looking at the ref design provided in the datasheet, havibg a R oc of 21.5 this gives Ilim of 3.5A
Although device is generally rated for 1A Iout.
Maybe the switching current limit need to be higher than the designated IOut?
But what should be the relation between them?
Or it is just a mistake in the ref design values?

Hello leor.wn,

The value is actually fixed at 2A in the 03h register. The external resistor and capacitor are used to ensure stability but do not actually affect the current limit.
