Hi. I am looking into the meaning of the marking of the MPM3805GQB-33. Packaging is a QFN-12 with 2.5mmx3mm, the case code would be “QB”. However, this is not handled in top_marking_format_decoding_rule.pdf.
The marking has 3 lines with 3 entries each. It looks like this:
AJJ ←indicates the MPM3805-33
N20 ← first entry always a letter, then 2 digits
673 ← always 3 numbers
What is the meaning of the last two lines?
Thanks for your help!
Achim
From top_marking_format_decoding_rule.pdf it might follow for the middle line, that “N” indicates the year 2021. But if the year code is a letter (and not a 2 digit number), the week code should also be a letter. But here, there are 2 digits. So this is not a really good clue…
Looks like there is no information available out there.
Closing topic.
Hello Achim,
I wanted to revive this topic because I feel confident that I can find the solution to your question.
Currently looking into this and will get back to you as soon as I can. Apologies for the delay in a reply to this request.
Best,
Krishan
Hello again, I just needed to verify these marking details with the rest of my team.
You have the 1st row correct as it corresponds to the part number (MPM3805GQB-33 in this case).
The 2nd row digits represent indicate N = 2021, Work Week = 20. This is the date code.
The 3rd row represents the lot number of the part such that we can track batches of each part.
Hopefully this helps.
Best,
Krishan
Excellent. So it means we have parts from two different lots (673 and 660). That helps! Thank you very much.
No problem, always happy to help! Because this topic has been resolved, I will now close this post.
