We designed our system using the MPM3698 in the dual-output configuration, as shown in the “Application Circuit for Dual Peak Output.”
However, the devices we received appear to be MPM3698GBH-0000-T, where the suffix code configures the device for single-output operation.
Since our hardware includes PMBus, we plan to adjust the output voltage if needed. Could you please confirm whether it is possible to use PMBus commands to change the output configuration from single to dual output?
Additionally, may we know the exact register differences between the “0000” suffix code (single output) and the “0001” suffix code (dual output)?
I looked through the registers for the MPM3698 and didn’t see any specific one that changed between a single output and dual output. You should be able to externally connect and receive a dual output system to my knowledge, but this should be double checked via testing. I can also confirm this by asking my colleagues and update you on this thread.
