MPM3698 load transient response

Hello,

I’m evaluating the MPM3698GBH module for powering a high-performance FPGA (Intel Agilex 7) in a production-grade design, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find any information related to load transient response — neither in the datasheet nor in any application notes or evaluation board documentation.

Could you please provide typical load transient response data?

Specifically, I am looking for:
Undershoot/overshoot for a step load (e.g., 0 A → 20 A or 10 A → 30 A)
Thank you in advance!

Hi Volk_ev_ukr,

Welcome to the MPS forums, apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

Good to know that you choose MPM3698 for one of your Intel Agilex 7 FPGA rails. We ideally have some reference design boards for the different FPGA’s and have basic test data collected for that.

For Intel agilex series if your refer to this link: Agilex and in this specifically the test report we have ripple and transient response data collected that you can take a look at.

For MPM3698 we have the following transient response for higher currents (Refer to Page 8 of the Test Report PDF) :

Hi Volk_ev_ukr,

I see you are looking specifically for: Undershoot/overshoot for a step load (e.g., 0 A → 20 A or 10 A → 30 A).

Can you let me know at what Vin, Vout and slew rate you want the transient response?

I can collect that from my end if you are able to give that information.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Regards,
Adhish
