Currently, the EN pin of the MPM3630 is connected to a 4.4V power supply with a 1k pull-down resistor. I’m curious about the current flowing into the EN pin in my application. It seems like this current might vary depending on the internal resistance of EN_LOGIC.
Could you provide the internal resistance value of EN_LOGIC? If that information cannot be disclosed, would this connection pose any circuit-related issues?
Hello,
According to the following description as seen in the MPM3630 datasheet (page 12), it is stated that a pull-up resistor should be used at the EN pin where the Zener and 1.1Mohm resistor would disable the IC if the EN voltage threshold is exceeded. Are you asking this question because you are having issues enabling your IC or are you just in the simulation phase of your design?
Also, the EN LOGIC you refer to is connected to a larger network that makes up the comparator on time control logic, so there isn’t a straight answer to the question of there being the internal resistance here.
