MPM3630 VCC pin external power

I am currently using the MPM3630 as the input power supply for an FPGA. However, I connected a 5V input power supply to both the input power pin and the VCC pin of the MPM3630. Would applying an external 5V power supply to the VCC pin cause any critical issues? The input power supply is under a load of 200mA across the entire circuit.

Hello yunsh,

This IC doesn’t mention external Vcc capability like some other parts do so this seems to be outside of the bounds of operation for the part. Are you experiencing any operation issues at the moment?

Hello eduardo.munoz,

  • i really appreciated that you response my question.
  • i wanna know one more thing about our circuit design’s result of simulation.
  • this image is a result of our circuit designs’s result of simulation.
  • is it real? this result is a horrable thing. of course, my VCC pin’s circuit design is misconnected with external power.
  • especially, this above the 3A-current at VCC pin is disaster.
  • i wanna refuse this reality but accident already happened.
  • consequently, i wonder that this result of simulation is truly right thing.
  • i really appreciated if you would response my questions.

best regard eduardo.munoz.
