MPM3530 input filter

Hello,
On the eval board for MPM3530, on the input, there is Butterworth filter, but according to BOM not all components are putted on the actual PCB. I assume that, these elements are selected during EMC test, but on the other hand in datasheet, I finded EMI test circuit, and there is only one inductor with two capacitors on the input. Is there any way to predetermine the elements on the converter output? DC/DC designer gives input ripple waveforms, but it doesn’t give any proposition for the input filter?

Thank you for utilizing MPS Technical Forum,

That is correct, inductors and respective caps are not populated for Eval board. You may however still design via DCDC designer or use MPSmart tool to evaluate the simulation.

With one inductor, its a PI filter, it should not affect the input if you evaluate without it on the simulation tools.
