MP9943 and MP9943A datasheet general info show no different.

The main difference between MP9943 and MP9943A is the tradeoff between efficiency and ripple at lighter loads.
MP9943A works is forced CCM (FCCM) at light loads (Higher efficiency)
MP9943A works in Advanced Asynchronous Modulation (AAM) in light load conditions.

How on earth a FCCM could have a better efficiency than pulse-skip or DCM?
According to two 3V3 efficiency curve proposed the starting point of 12V at least start from 55% for MP9943 and 35% for MP9943A.
AAM ~= PSM / DCM is true for MP9943 and FCCM w suffix A…
