I’m designing a circuit that will likely consume ~500mA most of the time, but what does Vout do when Iout drops close to zero?
The datasheet doesn’t indicate what happens in this state.

You might be wondering if the part has some DCM mode for light mode efficiency at light loads - if any part does not state light load efficiency it does not have a DCM mode for light loads.
Our datasheet shows scope captures of the part with 0A out and if you look at pg6 you will find a load regulation graph that shows Vout regulation with the entire range of output current.
