MP9473GL-Z issue

Hello everyone,
We are using the MP9473GL-Z converter from MPS and designed the circuit based on the MPS DC-DC converter tool, following the recommended components and layout.
Our input voltage (POWER_SYSTEM in the schematics) can be either 24V or 13V. However, when we apply 24V, the converter produces significant noise and exhibits an oscillating waveform (please see the attached figure). In contrast, at 13V, it operates quietly and without oscillations.
Additionally, the output voltage is never exactly 12V, instead, it hovers around 11.7V on average.
Does anyone have insights into why this might be happening and how we can resolve it?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Iker,

This looks like a ripple issue. It can be associated with the selection of L, and the compensation components such as R102 & C93.

What is your switching frequency? Is it 500k Hz?

Can you try adding couple of extra capacitors of 22uF-47uF on the output and try checking the waveform at both inputs?

Also, I see you have missed a decoupling cap of 1nF on the FREQ pin. Please add that, it is recommended in our datasheet.

Regards,
Adhish
