We’ve already sent a PCB with MP8904 regulators for production, but have just now noticed that the minimum input voltage is 2.5 V, as we have specified our input as 1.8 V.
My question is, is it possible to run the MP8904 with a 1.8 V input and a 1.0 V output or will we have to find a workaround?

Ouch, that is unfortunate. Probably the better question is is there a pin compatible regulator that will work to 1.8V. Good luck.

The recommended input voltage operating range is 2.5-6.5V. The device is not guaranteed to function outside of this range.
If you are looking for another option, there is MP2002A that has same package and can take 1.35-6.5V input.
