Hello,
the datasheet of MP8859 states that current limit programming is done via I2C registers when 21.5k is connected between Pin OC and GND.
MP8860 (which seems quite similar to the MP8859) current limit programming can be done with a resistor at Pin OC and GND in combination with I2C registers and the formula RSET = 42.9/I_LIM.
Q1: Can this also be done at the MP8859 device to get a finer resolution of the overcurrent function?
Q2: If yes, has this been tested and validated at MPS side?
Q3: How would one calculate the current limit exactly?
Thanks in advance.
