Looking to measure the standby and maximum transient current for this device but I am having trouble identifying the correct pin to use. I initially tried to measure ILIM but that seems to be only the reference for the current sense. ISUM says it is the current sense but does not provide any information beyond that.

Welcome to MPS forum! ISUM is only used for multi-phase operation. It is not for current measurement. If you want to measure the standby and maximum transient current for the device, you should use the current probe. I am not sure which current you are going to measure. If you want to measure the output current, you can just put the current probe or use a multimeter to test. If you want to measure the inductor current, you can desolder the inductor and add a wire from the inductor to the output capacitor.
