MP8759GD-Z (DC-DC Converter) VCC Pin failure

Good day!

We use MP8759GD-Z in our design with 12V and 5V as output. Initially, it was working as expected, but recently we have been facing an issue such that the output 5V was not coming. When we checked the impedance at each pin we were getting the 9th pin (VCC) alone as short (31.5 ohms), when we checked the Internal Block diagram, this pin was supposed to be generating 3.6V from an internal regulator. But we are getting around 1.6V.

Could you please let us know the reason for this issue?

Hi,

Did you try to change a new MP8759 IC? I think there is a possibility that you damaged the IC.

Can you give me more information about your application? What is your output current and what is your efficiency before you can not get the 5V output?
