MP86920, Current sense pin

Hello experts. Hope you are doing well during these difficult times.

I have a simple question: my design does not need to measure these parameters, since the measurements will be made by other methods. Is it possible to leave this pin unconnected, just floating?

This will be a simple DC buck converter for charging specific batteries with current control through a shunt on the battery.

Apologies for the delay in response.
Is there a reason why you are using the MP86920? Are you looking for a fully integrated buck?
This part is just the driver and mosfets and will need to be paired with a controller.
