Is it possible to use the EVL8017 for 24V output by replacing some of the components? Can you please recommend off the shelf transformer for this application?
Thanks

Hi,
Yes, it is possible. You will need to increase the output capacitor ratings to at least double your output voltage (~48V-50V).
For your transformer recommendation, you will need a transformer with an increased number of turns on the secondary side. This change is dependent on the output voltage of your current EVB (-00A or -00B).
I will include a link to a flyback transformer design application note and spreadsheet selection tool:

Thanks for your response.
I was looking at the EVL8017-L-00A (12V output). I think I would need very similar transformer but with Np/Ns=1 - is this correct?
I looked at Wurth application note, but their Flex transformers are all larger than EP7. However, I think I can probably modify the one used on the EVL8017-L-00A. The BOM shows the Sunlord P/N TWPEP090909B300T with secondary windings (8-6), (5-7) connected in parallel. Would it work if I lift the pins 6 and 7 and connect them together for connection in series as in the image below, to get the Np/Ns=1?
The secondary Irms=0.5A is slightly less than 0.54A for 13W PD, but should be OK.
The Sunlord datasheet doesn’t list the Isat for the primary, do you have this information?
Hi, can you please answer my questions? Thanks.
