MP62551 Cout load requirement

Hi,

Does E-fuse MP62551 have Cout load requirement?
I do not find the information in datasheet, but these is 150uF Cout on schematic diagram in datasheet and 100uF Cout in performance characteristics section.

Hi allen_kung,

In order to achieve smaller output load transient ripple, placing a high-value electrolytic capacitor on the output pin is recommended when the load is heavy. Page 12 of datasheet.
Ultimately, the selected capacitor value will depend on your load and desired output voltage ripple.
