Hi, Datasheet of MP6002 gives example for 5V 2.5A. But did not find any details for Transformer. Please provide the design details, calculation and Transformer part number for 5V 2.5A application

Hello Harsha,
The transformer you are using would depend on the both the Input and Output voltages, which would therefore dictate the windings of the transformer for your application. What then would your input voltage be for this application?
Best,
Krishan
Thanks, Krishan, for your reply. The input voltage ranges from 10V to 76V. I am looking for an EP7 type transformer for a 5V, 13W output MP6002 design. Other types of transformers would also be fine. I would be grateful for your support.

Harsha
Hello again Harsha,
You can try the following transformers which are typically seen in the BOM lists of some of our eval boards:
Note that these transformers each work at a portion of the input voltage range that you have specified or the core that is desired. However, they do have a 5V secondary winding. Hope this helps.
Best,
Krishan
Good luck with that EP7 is going to be really pushed for 13W usually an EP13 or so is chosen, also that is a really wide input voltage range this is going to further complicate things.
