The MP5087 datasheet (Rev 1.2, 8/16/2017), states the switch output current limit may be set with a single resistor according to the following equation:
ILIM = S / RIMON
where S=82000 for input voltages from 1.2V to 5V. Can the output current limit be set arbitrarily low or might there be a lower bound? For example, would a 10x increase in RIMON from 50kΩ to 500kΩ yield a 10x decrease in current limit from 1.64A to 0.164A?
Thanks
