MP5031 and MP2491C VBUS always powered?

Hi, I am working on a design with the MP5031 and MP2491C. My understanding that correct USB PD behavior is the there is no power on VBUS until the attach is detected.

The reference design here: Introducing the MP5031: A USB Power Delivery (PD) Controller | Article | MPS

Shows them only connected via the VSEL1 and VSEL2 lines. Looking at the datasheet this only allows for 5V-20V operation and no VBUS disable.

Should the VBUS be disabled and in this case will there always be 5V on the output?

Alternatively could the attach detect output from the MP5031 be connected to the enable pin of the MP2491C to get the correct behavior?

Let me reachout to our team and check on this. I believe that since it is for PD it should still have this behavior.

I know the other i2c devices receive commands for this functionality? Would you consider the MP4247 for this?
