I am trying to using this power switch to control power to a device with a large amount of caps. What is the best method in calculating the Slew Rate so the switch doesn’t go into hiccup mode?

Right now, I have the power switch with Mode pin floating and DV/DT floating. Once I power on my device through the power switch. Power switch enters hiccup mode.

I don’t understand the datasheet where it mentions the calculations for DV/DT. Is there a better explanation elsewhere?

Hi Mark,

If you float DV/DT and set through the mode pin, you may be limited on slew rate selection. You could also use external DV/DT cap with mode pin for selecting K1 factor to set the slew rate, following the calculations in the application section on page 14-15 of the datasheet.
