MP4573 2-phase converter?

tldr; Is it possible to use two MP4573, using SYNCO?

I’ve seen mentions of using the EN pin, for similar products but no mention of results.

I’m using the MP4573 for the 5V line of a small SBC, with a Vin range from ~9 to 56V (3-12S batteries). An add-on board is using another MP4573 for it’s own system power. I’d like to simplify the add-on boards and reduce noise by moving the two MP4573s together onto the SBC and (ideally) have them work phased 180-degrees.

Is this possible?

Hello Stefan,

What you are suggesting with two MP4573 ICs isn’t possible because there is no SYNCIN pin signal. The MP4573 Buck ICs only has a SYNCOUT pin.

Would you be open to using another converter for this application that has a SYNCIN pin? What is the load current needed for this application? Also, if you have a noise sensitive requirement, perhaps one of our low EMI modules would be good for this application. Do you have a certain standard you are trying to meet here?

Below are a few suggestions on that front:

Let me know if any of these options are of interest or if there are any updates.

Best,

Krishan
