MP4248 OTP and startup behaviour

Hi,

The MP4248 has OTP registers, where the default values are loaded from into the internal registers. Can these OTP registers be over-written?

I want to change the startup behaviour: when enabling the chip by enable pin, the output voltage should start at minimum (1V). With default settings, when enabling the chip, the output is turned on by default in OPERATION register. So I want to change the default value of OPERATION register to 0 or change the default VOUT_COMMAND to be at minimum.

Is this possible or not? I can’t see any options in the datasheet.
At MPQ4214 it is possible to change it by external resistors that VOUT is disabled by default.

Hi Daniel,
The device MP4248 default settings can not be over-written as it is one time programmable (OTP). It is not possible.

You may change the output divider for your respective requirement, using the default output command or Vref. You may also utilize the MPS Virtual Bench GUI to change registers / settings by writing to volatile memory as well for initial evaluation.
