I want to use MP4247 Buck/Boost converter for a 12V input and backup battery input of 3.7V, so when there is no 12V power I can use 3.7V to convert it to 5V.
This converter comes with I2C lines, can I use this DC/DC converters without using the I2C lines?

Thank you for posting your question on the MPS Technical Forum.
You can totally use the MP4247 without using the I2C lines. Just keep in mind the default register values that you would be working with as seen in the datasheet.
For instance, if goal is just to change the converter’s output voltage, that can be done through the feedback resistors. For that, the internal Reference Voltage is set at 0.5V for the MP4247-0000.
