MP4245GVE-0000-Z no output in standalone 5V buck-boost design / request for MTP configuration or suffix code

Hello,

I am currently using MP4245GVE-0000-Z in a 5V buck-boost design without I2C control.

From the datasheet, I understand that the default MTP configuration of the 0000 version has OPERATION = OFF, while the typical standalone application appears to use MP4245-0001 with OPERATION = ON.

In my current board:

- VIN is present

- EN is high

- VCC and DRV are operating normally

- VOUT remains at 0V

I have attached my schematic for reference.

At the moment, I only have MP4245GVE-0000-Z available, and I do not have enough time to order a new part within the next 2 days.

Could you please support with the following:

- Modify the MTP configuration (e.g., set OPERATION = ON by default)

- Or provide a suitable suffix code (similar to -0001) for standalone operation without I2C

For future production, I plan to use MP4245GVE-0001-Z as a drop-in replacement in the current design, assuming no hardware changes are required.

Thank you very much for your support.

Hi,

We recommend MP4235 for new designs. If you have problems to get the -0001 part, please fill out the MPS NOW Technical Support form. A member from the MPS NOW team will contact you within 24–36 hours about this request. Contact MPS - Contact
