MP4245 inductor value related confusion

  1. Lower Inductor value than calculated value used in the evaluation board:
    → Upon calculating Lmin_buck & Lmin_boost w.r.t input voltage(4-36V), O/P voltage(5V) & Iout(3A), we received a value of ~13.5uH & ~2.54uH respectively which is significantly lower than the utilised value of 4.7uH

Hello,

I think that 4.7uH was chosen to support the typical input.
If the operation specs that you are using match the EVB, we would recommend following the EVB design. The typical application circuits (figure 18, and figure19) would also be good resources to follow.
Just make sure that the saturation current of your chosen induction is above your peak current.
