MP4245 Eval. Board design, GND2

Hi everybody!

I’m confused about the “GND2” in the Eval. Board desing of the MP4245. Can maybe somebody explain why it’s there respectively whats the purpose of having two GNDs?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hello @kober,

Welcome to MPS forums. The GND2 acts as a reference ground or point for the ground currents that are sensed by ISENS+ and ISENS-.This ensures noise immunity against PGND which is subjected to high switching noises and this sensed signal is used for constant current limiting.
