Could you please let us know whether the exposed pad of the MP3924 should be connected to GND or left floating?

The exposed pad of the MP3924 should be connected to GND.
On the PCB Layout Guidelines section of the device’s datasheet, it suggests to connect both DPGN and PGND under the package, meaning the thermal pad.
You can also access the device’s EVB schematic and layout from our website for further reference. Just search for the EV3924-U-00A, under the Design Resources section.
