Hi Sir,
We are using the MP3431GL-Z as booster in our circuit. We are used 57.6K as the Current limit resistor, as per calculation the current limit will be 6A (Input Voltage 3V). But when the output is short with ground more than 10A current is following.
Why the current flowing more than set Value?
Any modification/ calculation required?
Regards,
CHINNAN
Hello @chinnanc,
Just to make sure I get this correct, when output is shorted to ground, the input current 10 A. The R328 or Rlim value looks fine but can you replace R326 with 1k ohm, 1% resistor and see if it helps.

Hi Sir,
We measured the resistance of the R326, It’s showing 1K
Hello @chinnanc,
The value of R326 as per your schematic is correct but the tolerance is 5% which might affect the functionality of ILIM. Can you replace it with a 1% tolerance resistor and see if it works.
