MP3429 Dynamic voltage adjustment

Hi I have used the MP3429 in several designs already, but need to now dynamically adjust the output voltage while the system is running and under load. Is it possible to use multiple voltage dividers driven by transistors in order to change the output voltage? I could use a DAC as well, but additional components would be required for controlling this.
Does the MP3429 continue to poll the feedback pin while running or only initially at start-up?
The assumed load conditions would be approximately 3.7V input, 16W output, voltage adjustment between 16V and 8V.

Hi @eprast,

The Vout is calculated using the R1 and R2. Please refer to page 18 on the datasheet. Since, it’s hardwired it would be not possible to change the output during operation. If you can elaborate your implementation of using transistors to change the output. Please provide schematic to assist you better.

Yes, the feedback pin of MP3429 continuously senses the output.

Thank you
